Illustration Links
All the free sermon illustration sites I believe are worthwhile, with 40+ listed. I include my own comments on each one. I am trying to make this the most comprehensive free illustration info page on the web. Some of the sites are not traditional illustration sources but you will find the material very helpful for sermons. Let me know if you come across an excellent site I have missed.

There are now two versions,
one for Access users and one for everyone else called SID. That's
right, everyone can now use the tens of thousands of sermons and illustrations
I and others have collected.
It is freeware like everything else at this site.
Questionable Illustrations?
Do you get emails from church members that seem pretty far-out? This page explores some illustrations making the rounds that are outright phony, others that are questionable, and some that are fantastic but actually true. (Actually, I am a little thin on those right now.)

Discipleship Journal index
I have found Discipleship Journal to be one of my most effective sermon preparation resources. It emphasizes practical spirituality and each issue focuses on a theme. I have collected every issue from #31 on, and have put together a cumulative index from their annual ones. This index covers all issues from 1 to 114, or 1981 to 1999, and is now available at their site (see below). For my Word 97 version (it uses Century Gothic and Arial fonts),
